Jesus! Has it really been over a year? Lol I know the 4 subscribers I have aren't missing anything.
Because it has been over a year I guess I have a ton of pictures and updating to do. I'm in my last year of college getting ready to graduate (Thank god!!!!)

Well lets see I turned 21 last summer..

Thats a picture of my best friend and I, he threw me a great surprise party I <3 him!

The dress is from bebe, and I literally found it that day hours before we went out so thats why its wrinkled.

Then here we are again before we went to go see Wicked on Broadway! Great show, see it!!

This is from a college party from the end of last year.

Hello loves,

Forever and a day later I finally have a little time to write a little somethin somethin.

Most recently:
The MAC store at the Smith Haven Mall decided to have a little tutorial class this past Sunday. It was a $75 entrance fee, which might sound a little expensive, but the upside is that it goes on a gift card and you can use it towards the store's products. Besides being at 9 am on a Sunday morning when I happened to be the only person on time, I'm not too sure how I felt about it. Out of 10 people who were meant to show, only 3 (including myself) showed. Two of these women were in the beauty industry so they seemed to get more attention. What I was most disappointed by was the lack of diversity in the products she used. She put paper white products on the palest girl i have ever seen, I mean how would I ever benefit from that? I would look like a straight ghost. So while the rest of the group got to write eyeshadow colors for their neutral look on their wishlist.... I sat and day dreamed. We got two small free samples of the lustre drops and a pigment. I believe its called pink gold.. if not I'll edit. At the end of the day they left me to buy stuff on my own, and when I asked for help picking out a foundation, I got the worker who hadn't slept in a day. She gave me NC55 foundation instead of NW45 (my color) so when I put it on I looked like a crazy woman. I could have just gotten the products myself and watched youtube like I usually do.

But anyways what I eneded up buying was :

Antiqued e/s

Expensive Pink e/s

Select Moisturecover Concealer (NW45)

Mineralize Skinfinish Natural (Deep Dark)

Cremesheen Lipstick (Crosswires)

Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 (NC55 WRONG COLOR!!!!)

I did a quick neutral look when I got home using the two eyeshadows (nvm my eyebrows, they look crazy here)

On another note, I'm currently trying Clinique's "Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector". When I used to be an acne ridden teen, those horrid zits used to leave marks on both sides of my cheeks. People who don't know what it is mistake them for freckles, but most know its just ugly- looking. Apparently this serum is supposed to lighten the spots by 53%, so lets hope for the best. They say people see results in 4 weeks, I'm on week 2.

I'll be giving a small clothes haul soon enough :)

Hey girlies!

Hello!
Its been a while. I am honestly having the worst week ever btw my boyfriend problems, and the four exams this week in college all on the same day,and I also have a dance and step performance that night for a haiti benefit concert so there is a lot going on.

So the only good part about this week is that yesterday I received my Many 120 eyeshadow palette. FINALLY!!!

This morning I was playing around with the colors and I found my finished look and went to put my cream liner on and.. I LEFT THE TOP OFF!!! nooooooo.

So of course it was all dried out and impossible to get onto my lids (which look absolutely and horrible swollen from crying from a fight with my boo), so I looked up how to revive it since my college is no where near a Sephora.

This is what I found! Hope it helps the rest of you!

Back for now

I know it has been so long since I have left a post but the start of college again along with my return from my Guatemala Service Trip has been crazy!

First let me begin with how much I am in love with the country Guatemala. It has to be one of the most beautiful countries I have ever seen. The terrain, the people, everything it has to offer. Because I am obviously not doing a great job expressing what I mean, I have to throw in some pictures of what I mean:

Have you ever seen anything so great? If I were a photographer, I would have a field day there for sure. Overall I am so glad I got the chance to participate in this service trip, it has opened my eyes to soo many things. I encourage you all to do whatever you can to go on a trip like this be it through a church or college because it is definitely a rewarding experience. I have always been into service, but limited myself to just raising money. Through this trip I have gained a new found love for helping others in other ways as well.

Other than the awesome trip, coming back to the east coast has definitely been a challenge considering the weather is just horrible. I am literally snowed into my dorm with 2 feet of snow. Haha I have been living off of Chex Mix, Ramen, and water all day because snow is my absolute enemy!

Some quick updates on makeup. WalMart now carries Hard Candy makeup, which I actually tried and kind of like so far. They had a pink and purple baked eye-shadow duo, which are my sorority colors so I could not resist! My sisters love it too, they won't stop borrowing it. I believe I got it for $4 or $6 which is pretty cheap for a brand that usually carries their stuff at Sephora.

I finally won something on E-bay for the first time in my life and will be receiving my Manly 120 eye-shadow Palette in the mail within the next 7-15 days (ugh Hong Kong is so far!) So I will post my opinions when I receive it.

Valentine's Day is coming up soon ladies! I am going to be visiting my boyfriend in Indiana next Thursday to spend Valentine's Weekend with him since I have not seen him in weeks and I need to look hott so I am on the prowl for a nice dress... wish me luck! I have to admit this is going to be weird because he doesn't celebrate holidays, so Valentine's isn't really something he normally does which I guess makes me think about what the holiday really means behind all of the roses, chocolate, and lingerie.... which is still nice :)

Happy Valentine's Day girls <3 <3 <3 <3

xoxo

Ahhhh!

So ladies,

My sorority sister is all about being green and reducing waste, yes the green people got to her, and linked a very interesting article to me. I am all for reducing waste but I'm not to sure I can go through with this process....

http://www.thegreenestdollar.com/2009/04/diva-cup-product-review/

I'm not sure I have enough guts to empty it lol. But who knows if my soror tries it out and likes it she might just convince me to do so.

Make sure to comment and let me know what you think!!!

Otherwise i purchased these tights from wet seal because i couldn't find any from forever 21. Not sure I like that skirt too much though. The tights were $7.99:

P.S. I just went to target yesterday and got the Sonia Kashuk angled eyeliner brush for only $9.99

( vs. the Sephora Brand I was going to buy for $16.99 which is a different one that the one I show below) . I'm telling you this brush is great, I used to use the other typed of angled eyeliner brush that looked like this:

but I'm honestly telling you the bent one is so much easier to work with. I guess I wasn't convinced before

Until next time,

For those Urban Decay Primer Potion fans out there...

You may want to check this out! Please don't waste your money buying another tube if you don't need to!

http://www.clumpsofmascara.com/2008/01/udpp-has-been-holdin-out.html

She shows how much product is actually left in those tubes when you think there is nothing left. Don't be fooled.

Otherwise I just wanted to share some of my favs from my very very small makeup collection (don't worry, pictures will be up soon!)

I'm actually sort of new to all this, but i'll be sharing all I can on what I know about makeup and fashion. You choose whether you like what I have to say or not. Let me begin by explaining that I am a college student so constant updates may not be feasible but I will try my best to share at least one post every two weeks. I'm feeling this whole thing out for now. Enjoy!

To get to know me better I've added this! I don't know 25 of you bloggers so feel free to just respond with your own or any number you can relate to!

Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you.

1) I laugh.... a LOT, especially at my own jokes

2) I tend not to make a lot of eye contact if I don’t know you well because it makes me nervous.

3) I have never finished a paper before the night before it was due, guess i secretly like the pressure... or I'm a major procrastinator.

4) I love cats, and i'm allergic to dogs

5) I replay songs over and over and over and over and proceed to sing to them

6) I hate the smell of oranges being peeled so I hardly eat them

7) I took ballet until about 7 years old and I used to play the violin but I’ve always wanted to play piano.

8) I guess everyone knows this but i love piƱa coladas

9) I am always cold, most likely due to anemia, if I didnt look weird walking around with my fleece blanket, I would.

10) I love bright colors and hate blue and red.

11) I love latinos and the Spanish language, and I don’t know why

12) I HATE when people call me Ken except for my mom and family members because for the first few years of my life (until about 7 or 8) my family actually called me Amanda instead of my real name Kenya because it was my “Christian” name, so for a while I had no idea my name was Kenya.

13) I have an older brother that a lot of people don’t know about

14) I am extremely afraid of moths

15) My family is from the Caribbean island Antigua although my mom doesn’t consider me antiguan because I wasn’t born there.

17) I love movies that make me cry

18) I have a major sweet tooth, especially for chocolate

20) I have HORRIBLE memory, I am often in the middle of a sentence when I completely forget what I was saying.

21) I don’t have any childhood best friends because I have moved about 7 times in my life

22) My friends often don’t like my music because I listen to almost everything but country, this includes techno, reggaeton, rock and r&b. This does not make my ipod good to shuffle lol.

23) I often ask people their opinion on things and do the exact opposite of what they say… sorry.

24) Oh I apologize excessively for no apparent reason

25) Last one....I snore extremely loud, there’s no escaping it, its very unattractive actually.
