First let me begin with how much I am in love with the country Guatemala. It has to be one of the most beautiful countries I have ever seen. The terrain, the people, everything it has to offer. Because I am obviously not doing a great job expressing what I mean, I have to throw in some pictures of what I mean:

Have you ever seen anything so great? If I were a photographer, I would have a field day there for sure. Overall I am so glad I got the chance to participate in this service trip, it has opened my eyes to soo many things. I encourage you all to do whatever you can to go on a trip like this be it through a church or college because it is definitely a rewarding experience. I have always been into service, but limited myself to just raising money. Through this trip I have gained a new found love for helping others in other ways as well.
Other than the awesome trip, coming back to the east coast has definitely been a challenge considering the weather is just horrible. I am literally snowed into my dorm with 2 feet of snow. Haha I have been living off of Chex Mix, Ramen, and water all day because snow is my absolute enemy!
Some quick updates on makeup. WalMart now carries Hard Candy makeup, which I actually tried and kind of like so far. They had a pink and purple baked eye-shadow duo, which are my sorority colors so I could not resist! My sisters love it too, they won't stop borrowing it. I believe I got it for $4 or $6 which is pretty cheap for a brand that usually carries their stuff at Sephora.
I finally won something on E-bay for the first time in my life and will be receiving my Manly 120 eye-shadow Palette in the mail within the next 7-15 days (ugh Hong Kong is so far!) So I will post my opinions when I receive it.
Valentine's Day is coming up soon ladies! I am going to be visiting my boyfriend in Indiana next Thursday to spend Valentine's Weekend with him since I have not seen him in weeks and I need to look hott so I am on the prowl for a nice dress... wish me luck! I have to admit this is going to be weird because he doesn't celebrate holidays, so Valentine's isn't really something he normally does which I guess makes me think about what the holiday really means behind all of the roses, chocolate, and lingerie.... which is still nice :)
Happy Valentine's Day girls <3 <3 <3 <3
xoxo

Im also planing on doing something like this, through my univ... Sorry if Im asking to much but what are u studying... Im studying International Relations... and I'm involved with like amnesty and so..
ReplyDeleteI am actually studying American Studies. I was a bio major but for some reason I was not getting into any of the bio classes I needed so now I am just pre-health and doing American Studies.
ReplyDeleteI used to be a part of Amnesty in High School but since college I have not rejoined due to tons of obligations. I really should though. I am now a part of the community service office at my college and they have a plethora of resources available for opportunities such as this. Habitat for Humanity is very similar.
You should really really look into it. I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of my life. You won't regret it! Good Luck
